“Jeopardy!” contestant Amy Schneider revealed the only reason she hates winning the quiz show
After a seventh straight win on the show, “Jeopardy!” contestant Amy Schneider revealed the only reason she hates winning the quiz show.
Schneider, who is the third contestant with a streak since Alex Trebek passed away, has been candid about her experience on the show, sharing heartwarming, embarrassing and quirky moments on social media, as she wins game after game.
To date, she has won $257,800 during the seven days, per UPROXX.
“I wagered to get to $50000 because of my love of round numbers. But I saw somebody point on Reddit that Ken Jennings also won exactly $50000 in his seventh game! Does this mean I’m destined to match his streak? We’ll just have to see!” she tweeted on Friday. And win she did.

Per Newsweek, hours before her seventh game aired, she posted a recap of Wednesday’s episode and the harsh truth that was letting her down.
“The one thing that sucks about Jeopardy is that for me to win, the other contestants have to lose. Madeline was a very nice person as I said, and as a viewer watching at home, I would have loved to see her go on a run of her own (no offense to Dan btw). But I don’t want to lose!” she said.

Schneider’s tweets have become a window for fans looking in and hoping to find out more about how the show is produced.
For instance, if you thought that the contestants were treated to a glamorous lunch each day, you’re wrong. According to Schneider’s tweets, it's a completely different story.
“After the second game each day, we’d get lunch. Due to Covid, it’s not quite as glamorous as it might have been; we ate in the parking garage, where there was a choice of three or four pre-made meals, and we then sat at individual tables to eat. Hollywood!”

When the contestants aren’t rehearsing or taping, they actually spend time in the audience section of the “Wheel of Fortune” studio.
“The wheel is smaller than you think!” tweeted Schneider.
And of course, the fans can’t get enough of it.

Per Newsweek, Schneider wanted to win to prove who the real champion was in her family. It came up when host Ken Jennings asked, “You’re an impressive ‘Jeopardy!’ champion, but you’re not yet the Jeopardy! champion in your own family circle?”
To which she responded: “Yeah, that’s correct,” Schneider responded. “A few years ago, my brother-in-law at the time was here and won three games. So I said at the time, I’m going to make sure and win four! So it’s down to right now. We’ll see if I do it.”
She will soon compete in the annual Tournament of Champions, where the top 15 contestants go head-to-head, per the report.
