The BYU football program is now 3 for 3 in getting commitments from Utahns who were previously pledged to the Virginia Cavaliers as part of their 2022 recruiting class.

After Lone Peak offensive lineman Joe Brown flipped his commitment last Friday, Pine View High twins Dominique and Marcus McKenzie both announced on Monday morning that they, too, have changed their minds.

Listed by 247 Sports as the 10th and 11th-best prospects in the state of Utah for the Class of 2022, the McKenzies had committed to Virginia in September.

Dominique McKenzie is listed by 247 Sports as a wide receiver, and Marcus is designated as an athlete. The sons of former BYU running back Brian McKenzie, both are listed at 6 feet and 170 pounds.

They both hold scholarship offers from a handful of Power Five programs and a bunch of Group of Five schools.

They become the 18th and 19th prospects to be pledged to BYU for 2022 with the early signing period set to open on Wednesday.
