Which town did Mark Cuban buy?

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban bought an entire Texas town in November, but his plans for the town remain unclear.

Per The Dallas Morning News, Cuban bought about 77 acres of land that makes up the town Mustang, Texas, which is about 55 miles south of Dallas.

• Cuban reportedly bought a town that “includes an abandoned strip club where a murder occurred, a building for the volunteer fire department, and a trailer park in the town of 20-some people at last count,” per Fox Business.

Funny enough, Cuban isn’t sure what he’s going to do with the town.

• “I don’t know what if anything I will do with it,” Cuban told The Dallas Morning News.

Per Fox Business, Mustang was on the market for $4 million in 2017. But the price was then lowered to $2 million.

The relationship between Cuban and Texas has been bumpy in the past. The state of Texas decided to require the national anthem be played at basketball games after Cuban stopped playing it due to racial injustice, as I wrote for the Deseret News.

• This happened when there was a lot of criticism about racial injustice and the national anthem, mostly due to the controversy that erupted when former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick kneeled during the national anthem as a form of protest, according to The Washington Times.
