Canadian musician Jann Arden stated writing her latest album in the midst of the pandemic gave her "a number of time to be reflective."
The writing course of for "Descendant," Arden's fifteenth studio album out Friday, started within the spring of 2020, within the early days of the worldwide outbreak of COVID-19.
"It was very a lot nearly encouraging my pals and my household," Arden advised CTV's Chief Anchor and Senior Editor Lisa LaFlamme.
Arden stated the idea for "Descendant" was born out of these connections to her household, together with her mom who has Alzheimer's, and the robust ladies who got here earlier than her.
"Our ancestors needed to get by means of some very tough conditions," Arden advised CTV Information.
