A highschool scholar has accused Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin's workplace of bullying after the latter's marketing campaign deleted a tweet attacking the 17-year-old.

On Saturday, the official Twitter account for the Republican governor's marketing campaign posted a photograph of Ethan Lynne with former Gov. Ralph Northam at a Democratic fundraiser in October.

"This is an image of Ethan with a person that had a Blackface/KKK photograph in his yearbook," Staff Youngkin tweeted, together with the October photograph and a racist picture from Northam's 1984 medical faculty yearbook that surfaced in 2019.

The tweet was deleted on Sunday following a fierce backlash, and after Democrats and others known as on Youngkin to apologize to the teenager.

Lynne on Sunday mentioned that though the tweet had been deleted, he had heard nothing from Youngkin's workplace.

"They've deleted it, however I've acquired no communication from the Governor's workplace," he wrote in a tweet that had amassed greater than 50,000 likes by Monday morning.

"In class, we're taught how one can spot bullying, and their tweet final evening, completely match that description."

Lynne mentioned: "It's disgusting, disturbing, and unbecoming of the Commonwealth to see the Governor and his workplace stoop this low, particularly on a public platform.

"Everyone knows that Youngkin has an agenda to assault and endanger college students, and final evening proved that. I cannot be intimidated by these assaults and can proceed to be a voice for college students throughout the commonwealth."

Staff Youngkin lashed out at Lynne on Twitter after the teenager retweeted a Richmond public radio station's report that urged Youngkin is likely to be scrapping efforts pursued underneath two earlier Democratic governors to spotlight the historical past of enslaved folks on the governor's mansion.

The report had contained an error, which Lynne famous in a tweet hours later when the station, VPM, issued a correction.

Matt Wolking, a spokesman for Youngkin's marketing campaign who continues to work for the governor as a strategist at Axiom Methods, instructed The Washington Publish that Staff Youngkin had determined to take away the tweet after discovering out that Lynne is a minor.

The teenager's Twitter bio identifies him as a "Virginian. HS Senior. Democrat."

Wolking described Lynne as a "Democrat Get together official" to the Publish and urged that Democrats had made the teenager a good goal by beforehand selling him on Twitter. He declined to say who wrote the tweet.

Ethan Lynne and Youngkin's spokeswoman Macaulay Porter have been contacted for added remark.
