West Virginia governor holds up his dog and tells Bette Midler to kiss its 'heinie'

CHARLESTON, W.VA. --
Gov. Jim Justice has a message for singer and actress Bette Midler, who known as West Virginians "poor, illiterate and strung out" in a tweet after Sen. Joe Manchin refused to assist President Joe Biden's Construct Again Higher Act.


The 70-year-old Republican governor ended his televised State of the State tackle Thursday evening by lifting up his English bulldog and flashing its rear finish to the cameras and crowd.


"Babydog tells Bette Midler and all these on the market: Kiss her heinie," Justice stated, grinning as individuals applauded and a few gave him a standing ovation.


Justice had spent greater than an hour touting the state's accomplishments, together with two lately introduced financial growth initiatives.


"Completely too many individuals doubted us," he stated. "They by no means believed in West Virginia. ... They advised each dangerous joke on the planet about us."

Not everybody was amused. In a tweet, West Virginia Democratic Del. Shawn Fluharty known as the transfer “embarrassing and beneath the workplace.”

It was nothing in need of embarrassing and beneath the workplace," he stated. "Jim Justice habitually lowers the bar of our state. They do not giggle with us, however at us."


Manchin, a Democrat, successfully tanked his occasion's signature $2 trillion home coverage initiative that will have poured billions of dollars into baby care, well being care and different companies.
