Employment and Social Growth Canada (ESDC) has introduced that the federal minimal wage will enhance from $15 to $15.55 per hour on April 1, 2022.


The federal minimal wage solely applies to these working in federally-regulated industries, similar to banks, postal providers, interprovincial transportation and federal Crown firms. For workers working in industries that aren't regulated by the federal authorities, the provincial minimal wage applies.
