Maine Senator Susan Collins has introduced her help for Supreme Courtroom justice nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson and questioned why a few of her fellow Republicans don't settle for her credentials for the place.

In a press release obtained by Newsweek, Collins addressed controversial feedback made by GOP senators throughout final week's hearings on Jackson's nomination. Whereas not addressing the senators instantly, she condemned their makes an attempt to shift the affirmation course of "away from what [is] applicable for evaluating" a candidate for the Supreme Courtroom.
