Zelensky refuses U.S. offer to evacuate, saying 'I need ammunition, not a ride'


Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has turned down a proposal from the USA of evacuation from the capital metropolis Kyiv, the Ukraine embassy in Britain stated Saturday on Twitter.


"The combat is right here; I want ammunition, not a trip," Zelensky advised the U.S., in line with the embassy.


"Ukrainians are pleased with their President," the tweet provides.


In a video posted on Saturday morning entitled "don't consider the fakes," Zelensky revealed that he's nonetheless in Kyiv.


"I'm right here. We aren't placing down arms. We might be defending our nation, as a result of our weapon is reality, and our reality is that that is our land, our nation, our kids, and we'll defend all of this," he stated.


"That's it. That is all I wished to inform you. Glory to Ukraine," he added.


Zelensky stays a "prime goal for Russian aggression," U.S. State Division spokesperson Ned Worth stated Thursday night amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine.


It echoed Zelensky's personal phrases that his intelligence stated he has turn into a key goal.
