Twitter tweeted a message on its official account on Friday saying it was engaged on an edit button, drawing laughter and tears on the message concerning the long-sought characteristic on April Fools' Day.
Requested if the tweet was a joke, Twitter mentioned in a press release, "We can't verify or deny however we could edit our assertion later."
Some commentators welcomed it.
Some noticed it as humorous.
Nonetheless others didn't.
The verified account of Dictionary.com tweeted a hyperlink to the "Definition of unfunny."
