43 CP Rail cars carrying potash derail east of Fort Macleod, Alta.


Clear up is underway after 43 CP Rail practice vehicles carrying potash left the monitor Sunday morning east of Fort Macleod, Alta.


RCMP mentioned the incident occurred about 8:15 a.m. alongside Freeway 3, between Vary Highway 251 and Vary Highway 252, about 170 kilometres south of Calgary.


No accidents had been reported.


Officers say clear up will take a number of hours and site visitors will probably be slowed whereas travelling by the world.


CP Rail mentioned in an announcement there are not any public security issues.


"CP personnel have responded to the scene and restoration operations are underneath means," it learn.


The reason for the derailment is underneath investigation.
