Evacuation order issued, closures expanded in Whiteshell Provincial Park

The province is advising of a compulsory evacuation order and increasing closures within the northern space of Whiteshell Provincial Park, taking impact Tuesday

Affected areas for the evacuation order and expanded closures run from the park's west entrance on the north finish, eastward alongside Provincial Highway (PR) 307 to the place the highway meets PR 309, the province mentioned in a launch issued late Sunday evening.

Sylvia Lake, Eleanor Lake, Otter Falls, Barrier Bay and Nutimik Lake are all affected by the expanded closure, which incorporates the prevailing Betula Lake closure space introduced on Friday.

"Rising water ranges and quickly evolving situations are posing a big threat to public security. Persons are strongly urged to not enter the realm or return to their properties, and for these already there, plan to depart on the earliest alternative," reads the discharge.
