The Home of Representatives authorized a decision that permits workers within the decrease chamber to be a part of a union and have interaction in collective bargaining.

The vote on Tuesday was straight down celebration strains, with 217 Democrats voting for the measure and 202 Republicans voting in opposition to it. Three Democrats and 7 Republicans didn't vote.

In a press release posted on Twitter after the vote, the Congressional Employees Union stated it was a "historic second" for 1000's of staffers.

"For 26 years, Congress has had the chance to move this decision however has did not act, till our collective calls for have been too loud for them to disregard," the group stated.
