Contractors teamed up with some neighbours to forge a 'bucket brigade' to save lots of a Gravenhurst dwelling from fireplace.
Gravenhurst Fireplace Division Deputy Chief Todd Clapp advised CTV Information the contractors have been working throughout the lake and referred to as 911 after noticing smoke on the Morrison Lake property.
He stated they went to the residence to analyze and slowed the fireplace's development, with the assistance of some neighbours, by shuttling buckets of water from the lake, "saving the constructing."
Nobody was dwelling on the time.
Fireplace crews imagine the fireplace to be an electrical fault within the water system that serves the property.
"The hearth began across the uncovered water line and unfold outward from there. In the direction of the residence and into the adjoining forested space," Clapp defined.
There was no harm to any close by buildings.
