Missing plane leaving Delhi, Ont. discovered in Northern Ontario


OPP say the lacking airplane that took off from Delhi, Ont. and by no means arrived at its vacation spot was found Saturday in Lake Superior Provincial Park, about two kilometres east of Outdated Lady Bay.


The Piper Comanche plane had been lacking since April 14, after leaving Delhi airport in Norfolk County and scheduled to land in Marathon, Ont.


The plane's radar and flight monitoring gear was final detected about 60 kilometres north of Sault Ste. Marie.


Crews performed a prolonged aerial search which was hampered by inclement climate and deep ranges of snow.


On Saturday, a civilian helicopter and OPP Aviation Providers helicopter had been conducting follow-up searches in areas of curiosity inside Lake Superior Provincial Park. Round 5 p.m., the civilian helicopter positioned the crash website and OPP responded.


The airplane was positioned in the identical space groups spent 10 days trying to find the plane.


The Transportation Security Board is investigating the reason for the crash.


OPP haven't launched any info on the 2 males aboard the airplane.
