SaskTel employee fired for charging $18.5K in personal items to corporate credit card


A SaskTel worker was fired after charging greater than $18,000 in private gadgets to a company bank card, in keeping with a Crown Funding Company (CIC) loss report.


The incident occurred between November 2021 and February 2022. The loss report said the worker charged $18,558.30 in private gadgets to their company bank card and didn't repay the excellent quantity.


Throughout investigation, the worker refused to fulfill with company safety to clarify the fees on March 1. They had been subsequently terminated with trigger on March 2.


The CIC mentioned SaskTel withheld $3,633.99 in closing wages from the worker.


The difficulty has been reported to police.
