Sault Summer Moon Festival returns


Preparations are underway for the upcoming Summer time Moon Competition in Sault Ste. Marie.


Organizers name it a multi-disciplinary arts competition that includes music, visible artwork, workshops and displays by artists from throughout the nation. The competition will function 5 large-scale murals to be created downtown – two of which will probably be accomplished by native artist Katrina Thibodeau.


Thibodeau has been a full-time artist for the final 12 years. She stated her objective is to convey feelings via portraits, which she stated take as much as 80 hours to finish.
