Simcoe County celebrates Museum Month


The Simcoe County Museum in Minesing is celebrating its opening for the summer season.


In Could, the heritage buildings open up for the summer season after being closed for the winter.


Can also marks Museum Month throughout the province.


"The museum begins to return a little bit bit extra alive than what it was within the wintertime the place we have now new displays," says Forrest Patenaude, supervisor of schooling on the Simcoe County Museum.


Most of the summer season packages have returned after being placed on maintain as a result of pandemic.


The Museum is now providing summer season camps, day packages and a brand new exhibit.


The brand new exhibit, 'Making Tracks,' is devoted to mountain biking in Simcoe County.


"It is all about, from the olden days of just like the penny farthings to now our mountain bikes that we have now these days," Patenaude says. "It is superior. It is right here for a few months."
