2 senior pedestrians with life-threatening injuries after serious collision: Abbotsford police


Two senior pedestrians had been taken to hospital with life-threatening accidents Thursday afternoon after a crash in Abbotsford, native police say.


Police stated they obtained stories of the "severe collision" close to Ware Avenue and Bourquin Crescent at about 1:15 p.m.


When investigators arrived, they discovered two individuals had been hit by a car.


"The 88-year-old male and the 85-year-old feminine have been transported to hospital," police stated in a press release Thursday.


"The driving force and passenger of the car are fairly shaken, however they had been unhurt, remained on scene and are co-operating with police."


The intersection was closed to visitors whereas an investigation was underway, nevertheless it has since reopened.


Police ask anybody who witnessed the crash or has related dash-cam video to name them at 604-859-5225.
