3 charged on Walpole Island First Nation after police seize $100K worth of drugs, stolen property


Ontario Provincial Police have charged three folks after seizing medicine and stolen property from a house on Walpole Island First Nation.


On Could 26, the OPP’s Group Road Crimes Unit executed a search warrant on Austin Street, together with members of Essex County OPP, Walpole Island Police Service and Chatham-Kent police, officers stated Wednesday.


Three folks — ages 33, 41 and 42 — had been arrested from a house within the space the place medicine and stolen property, valued at almost $100,000, had been seized, police added.


All three folks have been charged with 4 counts of possessing a managed substance for trafficking functions and two counts of possessing a managed substance.


The 33-year-old and 41-year-old have additionally been charged with “possession of property obtained by crime.”
