Angus suspicious package investigation a 'misunderstanding:' OPP

Motorists contended with important delays by Essa Township attributable to a "suspicious bundle" police investigation Monday night.

County Highway 90 was closed across the dinner hour, rerouting visitors and inflicting appreciable slowdowns by Angus.

There was a heavy police presence within the space of Mill Road between Commerce Highway and McKinnon Highway.

Nottawasaga OPP mentioned officers responded to a suspicious bundle supply at an area enterprise.

Later, provincial police confirmed the suspicious bundle "was a misunderstanding."

The street has since reopened.
