Facebook Marketplace seller pepper sprayed by suspects in caught-on-camera robbery


Port Moody police are investigating a daytime theft that was caught on digicam this week after somebody promoting a pair of footwear via Fb Market was pepper sprayed by two younger males.


Police stated the theft occurred at about 2 p.m. Monday at a house within the Pleasantside neighbourhood.


Two would-be patrons reportedly arrived on the dwelling and, after speaking to the vendor for a couple of minutes, pepper sprayed the sufferer and took the footwear.


"This was a brazen daytime theft and we're interesting to the general public to assist determine the suspects," stated Const. Sam Zacharias in a information launch.


"We urge the general public to train warning when making non-public gross sales. We encourage the neighborhood to make the most of public venues, like a police station car parking zone, to trade items safely."


Police described one male suspect was 5'8" tall, with quick black hair. He was sporting a puffy black jacket, black pants and a black Nike backpack. The second suspect was described as being 6' tall with black, quick wavy hair and a slim construct. He was sporting a black jacket, black pants and white footwear. Police stated each males are Asian and about 18 years outdated.
