Drake's October World Weekend lineup named for Toronto

Drake’s annual OVO Fest in Toronto has become October World Weekend, Road to Ovo Fest Tour, with a lineup happening around the August long weekend from July 28-Aug. 1.

The Toronto rapper announced the acts on Wednesday night on his social media with the All Canadian North Stars playing his T.O. club, History, on July 28, the previously announced Chris Brown and Lil Baby show on July 29 at Budweiser Stage and Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj headlining the Young Money Reunion on Aug. 1 at Budweiser Stage.

“The Young Money Reunion kicks off the Road to OVO Fest Tour coming in 2023,” said Live Nation in a release Thursday.

“OVO has left an indelible impact on music and culture worldwide, since Drake’s annual OVO Fest kicked off in 2010, instantly becoming a cultural fixture for Toronto and a marquee annual event at Budweiser Stage. From Eminem, Jay-Z and Kanye West to Stevie Wonder, Rihanna and Ms. Lauryn Hill — the last nine installations have brought together the world’s biggest stars, resulting in some of the most iconic moments in music history.”

On his own social media Drake said he’s “working on bringing OVO FEST around the world in 2023 for the 10th Anniversary. But of course we wanted to turn the city up for the summer!”

Drake’s latest album, Honestly, Nevermind, came out June 17.
