The 4,500-square-foot former home of Premier Doug Ford has been listed for sale for $3,199,888.
Ford and his wife Karla have placed their house in the Princess Anne Manor neighbourhood of Etobicoke on the market after deciding to move back to the family home where he grew up and where numerous FordFests were held.
The property, listed by Snobar Reality Group Inc, boasts “everything you would expect from an executive’s resident,” the ad says.
A master bedroom features an ensuite bathroom, double walk-in closets and a balcony overlooking a pool.
“The backyard is your summer oasis to host pool parties and barbecues or to simply lounge and sunbathe,” the ad says.
Property taxes are $11,627.57 a year.
The two-story house is described as private and includes a security camera system.
Protesters routinely gathered on the street to complain about Ford government policies, particularly during the pandemic.
The premier repeatedly asked the protesters to rally at Queen’s Park — rather than scare the neighbourhood kids — but that did not seem to discourage some from bringing their gripes literally to his front door.
A government source said the Premier chose to move because he has good memories of his early days on the Ford family compound in Etobicoke and the property allows plenty of entertaining opportunities.
His mother and father, both deceased, lived in the house.
