Man sought in alleged sex assault of teen at Scarborough bus stop

Toronto police are looking for help to identify a suspect in the alleged sexual assault of a teenaged girl at an east-end bus stop late last month.

Police say a 13-year-old girl was at a bus stop in the Markham Rd. and Lawrence Ave. E. area on June 28 when a man offered to pay her for a hug.

He then hugged and kissed the girl without consent and asked for sex, cops say.

The suspect is described as in his 30s, 5-foot-7, with a caramel complexion, curly dark brown hair in a short afro, and a short beard.

He was wearing a white shirt with faded grey and blue horizontal stripes, and light grey fleece track pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 416-808-7474 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
