Pair face manslaughter rap after assault victim dies: Toronto cops

Two men face upgraded charges after the victim of an altercation at a Scarborough restaurant earlier this month died.

Toronto Police say an altercation between several men on July 11 at 580 Progress Ave. sent Frank Harbalis, 32, of Toronto, to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Two 26-year-old Toronto men — Alexander Campbell and Tyler Josling — were arrested at the time and charged with aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm, and choking.

On July 13, Harbalis died in hospital. Both accused will have their charges upgraded to manslaughter, police say.
