Slugger Paige VanZant is now setting her sights on the bright lights of Hollywood.
The former UFC star, bare-knuckle fighter, and media gadfly made her acting debut in a low-rent horror film alongside TikToker Bryce Hall.
VanZant, 28, plays the role of a professional fighter (natch!) in the movie produced by boxing promoter Triller. The company recently purchased the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship promotion.
“I was really excited that they thought of me, it was an awesome experience,” VanZant told the U.K. Sun. “It was a quick three days, I made sure I condensed it to three days so that I wouldn’t miss very much training.
“I was able to train because I have some amazing coaches in L.A. too, but yeah, It’s an awesome new movie.”
She added: “It’s going to be a horror movie — so all the horror fans can get ready for it.”
Previously, she commented on Hall’s boxing loss to Austin McBroom.
“Another small world — I actually commentated Social Gloves, which had Bryce Hall on it, and he’s also in the movie,” she told the tabloid. “Bryce Hall is in it, myself and a few other professional actors.”
On the fight scene, VanZant is slated to make her BKFC sophomore effort on Aug. 20 in London. She is also wrestling part-time for All Elite Wrestling.
But the tough tootsie added she has been bitten by the acting bug.
“I really hadn’t had anything on my mind about acting at this second, just because I have my fight coming up,” she told the U.K. Sun. “But I would love to continue to act, I had a great time. This was my first movie role and it was honestly an amazing experience.”
She added: “I only got to be there three days, which is unfortunate because I fell in love with the cast, they were super special and all very nice.”
