York Regional Police are looking to identify a suspect accused of attacking an elderly woman in Markham.
On Friday, July 8 at 2:15 p.m., police were called to a bus stop in the area of Kennedy Rd. and Steeles Ave. E. for a “serious assault.”
Police say the 74-year-old woman was walking from a nearby mall to a bus stop when a male suspect came out of a pathway on the west side of Steeles Ave. and pulled the woman’s hair, causing her to fall.
The suspect fled the scene.
The woman was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
