News anchor suspended after appearing confused, incoherent on air
Heather Kovar, a news anchor in Albany, N.Y., was left without a job after she struggled on live television, looking disheveled and stumbling over her words, Liz Braun reported.
Two days after the rough broadcast, Kovar revealed in a statement that she was “sleep-deprived and exhausted” after returning from family leave following the death of her father.
But she actually notified her employers the day before her on-air disaster that she would not be renewing her contract with the station and hopes to move on with the next chapter of her life. Everybody wins.
GUNTER: The problem with the Canadian Armed Force’s new dress code
Effective September, members of the Canadian Armed Forces — hes, shes and theys — will be able to carry purses, wear skirts and stockings, grow their hair as long as they want, and paint their nails, in what Lorne Gunter called “the most-relaxed, most gender-neutral dress code of any military in the world.”
Is this just more woke virtue signaling by the Trudeau government, to supposedly bring military culture into the 21st century and attract the younger generation to enlist in the “RuPaul Brigade?”
Jordan Peterson doubles down on slamming trans star Elliot Page
While Elliot Page proudly showed off his body on the cover of Esquire, controversial author and former University of Toronto professor Jordan Peterson claims the trans actor was using the magazine as a way of converting kids over to the dark, trans side.
On the Krystal Kyle & Friends podcast, Peterson also continued to refer to Page as “Ellen” and “she,” Brad Hunter reported.
“For every one person we hypothetically save, we doom 1,000 more as a consequence of confusion and social contagion,” Peterson said on the show, adding that confused gay children are being convinced they are trans.
Tara Slone leaves Sportsnet following ‘Hometown Hockey’ cancellation
A week after Sportsnet cancelled Hometown Hockey, the show’s co-host, Tara Slone, confirmed she was parting ways with the network — on good terms, she noted.
For eight seasons, Slone and co-host Ron MacLean travelled across the country, telling the tales of local hockey heroes, Eddie Chau reported.
They, and the show, will be missed.
Rainn Wilson says his body is ‘failing’ due to health issues
The Office star Rainn Wilson couldn’t have sounded more like Dwight Schrute than when he told Big Issue magazine that his “body is breaking down.”
Wilson went on to detail his weight gain, high cholesterol, knee issues, and combined with his teenage son soon going off to college, all of it has brought up “questions of mortality.”
Well, Dwight did comment about how there were too many people in the world. Maybe this is his way of telling his portrayer something.
