A young man and a youth face charges after a Canada Day carjacking in which two thugs targeted a motorist sitting in his car.
Toronto Police alleged a 27-year-old man was sitting in his parked vehicle waiting for a friend when bandits wearing masks approached him.
One grabbed the man by the shirt and the other pointed a handgun at him and demanded he get out of the vehicle. He complied and the car thieves got away in his vehicle.
Police said officers found a loaded handgun when arresting suspects on July 7.
Jayvon Levers, 18, of Toronto, faces 22 charges, including robbery with a firearm and unauthorized possession of prohibited weapon.
A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, faces 16 charges, including robbery with firearm.
