Baby tossed and killed by monkeys in India

A four-month-old baby was killed by a group of monkeys in India, according to reports.

The attack saw a baby taken from the arms of its parents and thrown to its death in a village close to Bareilly in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, where Nirdesh Upadhyay was standing on the terrace of his three-story house with his wife and their baby son.

The report said the monkeys then surrounded the family and wouldn’t be scared away. When the father accidentally dropped his child when trying to flee, one of the monkeys grabbed the boy by the hand and threw him off the roof, according to the reports.

The child died at the scene, PTI News reported.

There are tons of monkeys in Uttar Pradesh and they roam around the area freely. Most of the time there are not major issues, but a five-year-old girl was killed by a group of monkeys in a nearby village in February.

Other reports have seen monkeys hijacking cars and one even reportedly crashed a bus when the driver had been sleeping.
