Cadillac's CT4-V Blackwing Track Editions are named for U.S. racing circuits

Cadillac is celebrating its success in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship with a special collection of 2023 CT4-V Blackwing Track Editions, with each of the three cars paying homage to a different IMSA track.

The first to enter production later this year will be the Watkins Glen IMSA Edition, finished in Electric Blue with Royal Blue brakes as a nod to the light blue guardrails that line the New York State track. Options for interior accent colours include Signet or Sky Cool Gray.

Then there’s the Sebring IMSA Edition, which honours the Twelve Hours of Sebring in Florida (which Cadillac won in 2021 and 2022). That car is finished in a dark Maverick Noir Frost paint as a throw to the race’s conclusion in the middle of the night, and contrasted with Tech Bronze brake calipers and the same interior accent options as the Watkins Glen Edition.

Finally, the Road Atlanta IMSA Edition recreates the track’s “elevated environment” and the “sophistication of the city” with a Rift metallic paint finish combined with Edge Red brakes, Radiant Red side mirrors, and a red pinstripe, plus an interior with Adrenaline Red or Sky Cool Gray accents.

Production for the Road Atlanta IMSA Edition and Sebring IMSA Edition will take place from February to March 2023.

Mechanically, the Track Editions hold no advantage over the base CT4-V Blackwing, with each using either the brand’s six-speed manual transmission or the optional 10-speed auto. Those who opt for the stickshift will receive a special 3D-printed medallion on the shift knob, but regardless of transmission, all cars come standard with the carbon package with carbon seatbacks, IMSA logos, a subtle checkered pattern on the hoods and doors, a sill plate detailing Caddy’s big moments at each track, and serialized plates inside on the steering wheel.

Cadillac says it plans to build just 99 of each of the three cars. Pricing hasn’t been announced.
