The Red Sox stink, and some fans are getting fed up and are taking out frustrations on each other.
Boston has been free-falling in July and had lost five straight games — including a recent series with the Blue Jays in embarrassing fashion — until finally winning a game on Monday night. But before that victory was achieved, some fans started pummelling each other at Fenway Park.
The fight was captured on Twitter and somebody said one fan poured a beer on the other to start the punchup.
“Just another Monday in Boston,” Kiers Jenner tweeted, along with the video.
Security eventually intervened, but not before some punches had been thrown while music blared in the background.
Boston not only got clobbered by the Jays last week, but also got outscored by the rival New York Yankees by a combined 27-3 in the two games heading into the all-star break.
Was the win over Cleveland the start of something different for the Sox? Hopefully it will help some fans chill out.
