Man arrested in alleged sex assault of woman exiting Richmond Hill bus

York Regional Police have charged a 64-year-old man in an alleged sexual assault in Richmond Hill last week.

On July 13 at 10:15 p.m., cops say a 22-year-old woman was on a bus in the area of Yonge St. and Royal Orchard Blvd.

When she exited the bus, police allege a man who also got out of the vehicle “grabbed her in a sexual manner.”

Police released images of a suspect and say that “as a result of media coverage, the suspect turned himself in.”

Gennadiy Vlasov, of Richmond Hill, faces undisclosed charges.
