Mississauga teen arrested for attempted murder related to Niagara Falls shooting

A 17-year-old male from Mississauga has been arrested and charged with a number of offences in connection with a Niagara Falls homicide.

On April 8, Niagara Regional Police said one man was shot and killed and two others were taken to hospital after a shooting at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Clifton Hill near the Great Canadian Midway in Niagara Falls. The victim and the other two males who were shot were all under the age of 18.

Following an investigation, the youth was arrested and charged with attempted murder; aggravated assault; robbery; discharge Firearm with Intent; reckless Discharge of a Firearm;  possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle;  possession of Property Obtained by Crime and theft of Motor Vehicle.

The suspect was being held in custody pending a Tuesday bail hearing at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines.

Investigators had previously been looking for a vehicle of interest described as a blue Ford F-150 with dark tinted windows a Tri-fold tonneau cover and a moonroof. The vehicle had visible damage and was missing a door handle and the front licence plate.
