More than 500 Hells Angels, from across Canada, and their 1%er associates were in the GTA for an annual mandatory ride.
It is called the Canada Run and it is culminating in a weekend-long party put on by the Brooklin chapter of the Hells north of Whitby in Durham Region.
On Thursday a massive ride took place from Newmarket south down Hwy. 404 and the DVP to Carlaw St. and Eastern Ave. in Toronto as part of a memorial ride for former Toronto chapter member Donny Petersen who passed away in Dec. 2021 at age 74.
Members from all across Canada – from B.C. to the Maritimes – were in attendance flying their colours and showing off their motorcycles. Many of the 43 chapters across the country were seen supported by their “puppet gangs” and other clubs who were invited for the memorial ride and biker bash.
Police forces from across the country were also in attendance to monitor the bikers to see who were there – old and new – and to garner intelligence information.
