Cops have named the accused killer who allegedly murdered a Good Samaritan who raced to the rescue of a woman being attacked last weekend in Bradford.
The suspect is also charged with failure to comply with a judicial release order.
Detectives have identified the victim but are not releasing his name at this time pending notification of next of kin.
On Sunday around 4:30 a.m., an officer on patrol located a male in distress on Holland St. W. in the area of Deer Run Cres.
According to cops, the wounded male was suffering from a fatal injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
The 59-year-old Good Samaritan from Toronto was fatally injured when he rushed to the rescue of a young woman involved in a violent altercation on the street with the accused man.
She was later taken to a local hospital where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries and later released.
Cops named the accused as Brandon Aaron, 20, of Bradford, who surrendered to police shortly after the incident. Aaron is charged with second-degree murder, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats, and failure to comply with a judicial release order.
Aaron is being held in custody following a bail hearing.
