Details are emerging about the death of Philadelphia rapper PnB Rock in Los Angeles.
The rapper, whose real name is Rakim Hasheem Allen, was gunned down Monday while eating lunch with his girlfriend, Stephanie Sibounheuang, at Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘N Waffles.
The couple shares a two-year-old daughter, Xuri. The rapper also had another child, Milan Allen, 8, according to PEOPLE.
According to The Los Angeles Times, PnB Rock, 30, was ordered to hand over jewelry and other items before being shot several times. He died a short time later.
Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore said a social media post by Sibounheuang likely alerted the suspect to Allen’s location. The post was made on Instagram as a story about their lunch.
“(He) was with his family — with his girlfriend or some kind of friend of his — and as they’re there, enjoying a simple meal, (he) was brutally attacked by an individual who apparently [came] to the location after a social media posting,” said Moore, according to the Times.
The report said the suspect was still at large.
A graphic video of the aftermath of the shooting shows the rapper alive, but severely injured.
Rapper Cardi B said on social media she hoped people wouldn’t blame Sibounheuang for posting about the lunch.
“I highly doubt n–– was looking at PMB’s babymom IG. He was in a bad location and people stay outside plotting. It’s very irresponsible and inconsiderate to blame her for something so tragic. We should be sending nothing but love to her and his family at this time.”
