Florida woman went shopping after allegedly trying to kill roommates

A Florida woman allegedly tried to kill her roommates and then went shopping, thinking she killed them both.

Deputies responded to a 911 call from someone who said they had been stabbed.

When officers arrived, they discovered two stabbing victims — one of whom accused their roommate, 30-year-old Christina Adams, of trying to kill them.

Deputies found Adams in a car close to the scene, and she initially “denied any involvement,” according to a statement from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

Adams later told investigators that “she was angry over being asked to leave the home that she shared with the victims,” grabbed a “large knife” and attack them.

Thinking she killed both roommates, Adams told cops she attempted to destroy evidence at the scene, changed her clothes and then went shopping.

She was on her way back when she was stopped by deputies.

“These senseless acts of violence are shocking to all of us,” Sheriff Billy Woods said.

“I’m very proud of my deputies and detectives that worked so quickly to not only provide aid to the victims but, also, to capture such an evil person and ensure that our streets are safe.”

Adams was charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder and tampering with evidence. She is being held without bond.
