Lottario win means retirement security for Mississauga woman

Jane Riga of Mississauga is now at “ease” after winning more than half a million dollars playing Lottario.

The 61-year-old captured $572,088.10 in the July 23 draw.

Riga said she uses family birth dates when playing the lottery.

“I listened to the winning numbers on the win line and saw that they matched. I couldn’t believe it. I was in shock,” Riga told the OLG.

Her first call was to her husband, who thought she had won $50,000.

“I said, ‘No, half a million.’ He was shocked, too.”

Riga said she now has a secure feeling for retirement.

“It puts me at ease. I’m going to purchase a new car and save,” she said.
