Mob jury sees grisly crime scene photos in Bronx drive-thru hit

A Brooklyn jury for the first time saw the shocking crime scene photos of the rubout of Bronx mobster Sylvester “Sally Daz” Zottola four years ago.

The 71-year-old underworld fixture was whacked at a Bronx McDonald’s drive-thru in October 2018 while waiting for a hot cup of coffee.

He was a longtime associate of both the Bonnano and Lucchese crime families.

Cops and prosecutors claim the hit came at the behest of Sally Daz’s youngest son Anthony “Greedy Tony” Zottola, who lusted after his father’s $45 million real estate empire.

As part of his powerplay, he allegedly intended to take his older brother off the board as well. But the hitters he allegedly recruited from the Bloods street gang botched the piece of business on numerous occasions.

On Tuesday, federal prosecutors showed the gory crime scene photos revealing blood splattered everywhere on the leather upholstery of Sally Daz’s Acura SUV.

According to the New York Post, another crime scene photograph reveals a spent bullet casing in one of the car’s cup holders.

Others show five bullet holes in the car windows.

NYPD evidence markers scattered around the scene complete the picture. Tagged are where the shell casings landed, footprints and a fence adjoining the property where the triggerman fled following the hit.

Anthony Zottola, 44, is accused of recruiting a Bloods member to take out his father and brother. He is currently on trial with co-defendants Himen Ross and Alfred Lopez.

Another alleged conspirator turned cooperating witness testified last week that he tried — and failed — to kill Sally Daz and his oldest son, Salvatore, 45, on at least six different occasions.
