Prime Time Pick: Expect a close one between two slow-starting division rivals

PITTSBURGH STEELERS (1-1) AT CLEVELAND BROWNS (1-1)

LINE: Cleveland by 4.5

CHEWABLE: In Pittsburgh, they’re already calling for Kenny Pickett to take over the QB reins from Mitchell Trubisky, and that might have to happen, despite Mike Tomlin’s best wishes, if the Steelers continue to struggle offensively. Only the Seahawks and Bears have produced fewer offensive yards than the 255 generated by Pittsburgh through two weeks … The Steelers have fifth-worst passing game so far. With Jacoby Brissett filling in for Deshaun Watson, the Browns air attack is seventh-worst … The Browns choked on a 13-point lead with 1:55 left in losing 31-30 to the Jets at home last week … The Steelers have scored just one first-half touchdown in two games, the most recent of which was a 17-14 loss at home to the Patriots … Myles Garrett missed Tuesday’s practice with a neck injury and his status is in jeopardy. If he does play, the Steelers have to come up with a way to help LT Dan Moore keep Garrett off Trubisky. Or Pickett, as the case may be … The ankle injury Steelers RB Najee Harris is dealing with must have something to do with his lack of production. After rushing for 1,200 yards as a rookie, Harris has carried 25 times for 72 yards for a middling 2.9 yards-per-attempt average … Harris rushed for 279 yards in the Steelers’ two-game sweep of the Browns last year: 26-14 in Pittsburgh and 15-10 in Cleveland … The Browns have the NFL’s fourth-best run defence through two weeks … The Steelers have the 22nd-ranked run defence. That does not bode well for them in a face-to-face with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt … As an underdog, Mike Tomlin is 46-25 ATS … The Steelers have won 41 of the past 49 meetings between the teams … The Steelers already pulled off one surprise road upset against an AFC North opponent and, because of that, they are sitting first in the division. Can’t see them winning this one, but they should keep it close.
