Woman in car hit with shotgun blast in downtown area

A woman was shot while sitting in a car early Sunday morning in the Queen West neighbourhood of Toronto.

She is in hospital in stable condition with a shotgun wound.

The victim, described as being in her 20s, was shot around 4.15 a.m. on Augusta Ave. and Queen St.

Police, who tweeted about the incident, have removed a car of interest from the scene.

Man stabbed in fight

A man suffered stab wounds after arguing with a group of people outside a bar in the Bloor-Christie Sts. area around 3:45 a.m.

Only after the fight did the victim realize he had been stabbed. He is in stable condition in hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Pedestrian dies, hit by vehicle

A pedestrian died Saturday night after being hit by a car in Mississauga.

Paramedics found a severely-injured man in his 40s, who had been hit by a car, around 8.30 p.m. at Erin Mills Pkwy. and Folkway Dr.

Emergency crews rushed the pedestrian to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

Man wounded in Hamilton shooting

Hamilton’s Mint restaurant and lounge was the scene of an overnight shooting that left a man with multiple wounds.

Police were called at 3.30 a.m. Saturday to 200 Centennial Pkwy. N. in the City of Hamilton for a report of shots being fired.

When they arrived at that address, police found a man, 24, with gunshot wounds. The victim is in stable condition and his injuries are non-life threatening.
