Wouldn’t you know it? Our spy photographers are back at it again, this time capturing a few images of the 2024 GMC Acadia while testing out in Colorado. The three-row SUV was clearly trying to stay hidden, as it was shielded in camouflage and other dark material that easily covered any potential updates to styling.
Here’s what we do know: when compared to the current model, the 2024 Acadia will grow a bit in size, bringing it a bit closer to the proportions of the first-generation model. While the Acadia is by no means small, after recently test driving the 2022 GMC Acadia, a bit of added dimension to the exterior of this SUV isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
What’s more interesting is the addition of Super Cruise; the captured images give a small glimpse into the interior confirming this feature will be present. The sensor at the top of the brand-new steering wheel and the one seen through the hole of the wheel are evidence of the Super Cruise functionality, specifically. (For a detailed review of Super Cruise, check out this 2022 Cadillac XT6 review). We can’t quite see the infotainment screen, but that, at least, is an indication of an entirely new cabin.
The current Acadia houses a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder making 228 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque; or a 3.6L V6, with 310 hp and 271 lb-ft, and it’s offered in front-wheel or all-wheel drive.
Expect an official debut of the 2024 GMC Acadia in early 2023.
