If you’re a Buffalo Bills backer and thought you might be able to use Sunday’s loss to the Miami Dolphins as a good chance to put some money down on the Bills to win the Super Bowl at better odds than could be found last week, well, no such luck.
Turns out Josh Allen running for his life all day behind a constantly changing offensive line and losing 21-19 to Tua Tagovailoa did absolutely nothing to change oddsmakers’ views on the Bills chances of being in the stadium for Rihanna’s half-time show and finally, finally, finally, finally winning the big one.
Maybe it had something to do with Allen still managing to throw for 400 yards and two touchdowns on 42/63 passing, while running for another 47 yards.
The Bills opened the season at +800 to win the Super Bowl, but remained +450 or +500 on most boards on Monday according to covers.com and its handy odds aggregator.
Two of the biggest movers this week were the Dolphins who went from +2000 before the Bills game to +1600, and the Eagles who opened the season at +3300 and have shot down to +900 after strong showings on the ground and through the air from Jalen Hurts. Hopefully, you got your bets in on those two before the season began.
After making it to the big game last year, the Cincinnati Bengals finally picked up their first win on Sunday.
Not all betting sites have significantly changed the Bengals odds after Sunday’s win, so be sure to shop around before making a bet on Joe Burrow and friends. The Bengals play the Dolphins in Week 4 so both teams’ Super Bowl odds could soon shake up.
