Elton John lands on downtown Toronto penthouse

The Rocket Man has bought new digs in Hog Town.

Sir Elton John has purchased a two-storey, terraced penthouse located at the KING Toronto development on King St. W., west of Spadina Ave., the singer told the Globe and Mail.

John will be joined by his husband, David Furnish, and their two sons in the penthouse known as The Treehouse. The development of the site is expected to be completed by the fall of next year.

KING Toronto has six penthouses, according to its website. The Sun reported in April that one of the penthouses, dubbed The Sanctuary, had sold for $16 million. The developer, Westbank, said at the time it was the highest-known condo sale to happen in the city during 2020 and 2021.

It is not known what John paid for west-facing The Treehouse, described on the website as having three bedrooms and three bathrooms and being 2,602 square feet inside with a 597-square-foot terrace.
