FANTASY FOOTBALL: A pair of Lions lead our studs of Week 4

The best and the worst of fantasy football in NFL Week 4.

STUDS

Jared Goff, QB, DET

378 passing yards, 4 passing TDs, 1 rushing yard, 2 two-point converts, 34.2 points.

Tossed four scores for the second time this season, bringing his total up to 11 in four games.

Josh Jacobs, RB, LV

144 rushing yards, 31 receiving yards, 2 TDs, 32 points.

His 32 points against the Broncos is more than he scored in total in Weeks 1-3 (28.6)

Austin Ekeler, RB, LAC

60 rushing yards, 49 receiving yards, 3 TDs, 31.9 points.

Last year’s TD leader finally got on the board this season in a very big way.

Justin Jefferson, WR, MIN

147 receiving yards, 3 rushing yards, TD, 26 points.

After two off weeks, Jefferson got back on track in a big way with 10 catches across the pond.

Jamal Agnew, WR, JAC

50 receiving yards, 2 TDs, 19 points.

Stepped up with Zay Jones out and had a remarkable week for a basically unrostered player.

T.J. Hockenson, TE, DET

179 receiving yards, 2 TDs, 1 two-point convert, 35.9 points.

With most of the Lions’ top offensive weapons out, Hockenson stepped up.

New York Giants DEF

12 points allowed, 6 sacks, 3 fumbles recovered, 16 points.

Greg Joseph, K, MIN

5 FGs made, 181 FG yards, 1 PAT, 19.1 points.

DUDS

Trevor Lawrence, QB, JAC

174 passing yard, 2 passing TDs, 1 INT, 7 rushing yards, 4 fumbles lost, 6.6 points.

Blame the conditions all you want but losing four fumbles is just plain awful.

Mitchell Trubisky, QB, PIT

84 passing yards, 1 INT, 1 rushing yard, 2.4 points.

It looks like it’s all over for Mitch after getting benched at halftime in favour of Kenny Pickett.

Melvin Gordon III, RB, DEN

8 rushing yards, 1 fumble lost, -1.2 points.

MG3’s three touches were the third-most among Broncos RBs against the Raiders.

Jonathan Taylor, RB, IND

42 rushing yards, 1 receiving yard, 1 fumble lost, 2.8 points.

Wasn’t very efficient or used effectively before he suffered a late ankle sprain.

Richie James Jr., WR, NYG

9 receiving yards, 1 fumble lost, -0.6 points.

The Giants didn’t pass much and when they did to WRs, it wasn’t very effective.

Gabriel Davis, WR, BUF

13 receiving yards, 1.8 points.

He’s clearly being bothered by an ankle issue, making just one catch on three targets.

Terry McLaurin, WR, WAS

15 receiving yards, 2.5 points.

Terry wasn’t so scary this week, hauling in just two of his targets.

Dalton Schultz, TE, DAL

0 receptions, 0 points.

Couldn’t come up with any of his three targets in his return from a one-week injury absence.

I HOPE YOU STARTED

Mo-Alie Cox had just four catches this season heading into Week 4, but more than doubled that total against the Titans. He caught all six of his targets and two of them just happened to be for touchdowns. It was the first time he had reached the endzone since Week 7 of last year.

-If you subscribe to our newsletter, you might’ve followed our advice and picked up Geno Smith this week. All the Seahawks QB did was put up 31.7 points against a very ripe Lions defence in a winning effort on the road.
