Plenty is at stake as Major League Baseball enters its last weekend of the regular season.
Now that they’ve secured a reservation in the playoffs, the Toronto Blue Jays are battling for the top wild-card spot with the Tampa Bay Rays and Seattle Mariners.
The winner gets home-field advantage for all three games in a Wild Card Series that begins next Friday.
Toronto is a half game up on the Mariners and two ahead of the Rays.
Both teams have the tie-breaker on the Jays.
All that’s remaining on the Jays schedule is three games at home this weekend against the Boston Red Sox, followed by a three-game series in Baltimore that concludes Wednesday.
The Jays will send ace Alek Manoah to the mound at Rogers Centre this evening against Victoria B.C.’s Nick Pivetta.
As of 1:30 p.m. the Jays were available at -179 with Coolbet, while the Red Sox were +160 at bet365.
In other baseball action, BetOnline has the Philadelphia Phillies at -135 and the Milwaukee Brewers at +105 in the battle for the last wild card spot in the National League.
The Phillies are holding a half-game lead on the Brew Crew.
Also available is a bet on whether Aaron Judge wins the AL Triple Crown (-145 for Yes, +115 for No) and the over/under total (62.5) on homers hit by the Yankees slugger.
BetOnline also offers a wager on the NL rookie of the year award, with Michael Harris at -300 and Spencer Strider at +200.
