Four family members split $2M scratch ticket win

Four family members who have been playing the lottery together for eight years have won $2 million.

Patricia Swayze, Natasha Chenier and Ross Albanese, all of Hamilton, and Shawnna Chenier of Gander, N.L., will share the loot from Instant $2 Million Extreme. All of them told OLG that they had the same feelings of shock and disbelief at their win

“When I scratched the ticket and saw the $2 million, I couldn’t believe it,” Swayze said. “I ran up to Natasha to show her and she suggested we check on the OLG App to be sure. I was in disbelief.”

Natasha Chenier plans to use her share to pay off her mortgage and travel, while Albanese and Swayze said they will travel to visit family. A “grateful” Shawnna Chenier hopes to buy a house.

The winning ticket was bought at Mix and Food Mart in Hamilton.
