Peel Regional Police were called to reports of a fight during a Diwali gathering involving up to 500 people Monday night.
Officers responded to a parking lot in the area of Goreway and Etude Drs. in Mississauga at 9:40 p.m.
“People were yelling and carrying on and there were a lot of fireworks,” Const. Mandeep Khatra said Tuesday.
“Police stayed on scene to keep the peace. No charges were laid.”
One man was injured and treated at the scene by paramedics.
